In order to comply with current Civil Aviation Authority regulations, the Ports of Jersey Limited are required to minimise the risk to departing and arriving aircraft posed by obstacles around Jersey Airport. As part of this requirement, Ports of Jersey Limited have appointed Colin Smith Partnership as Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Health & Safety Project Co-ordinator to realign part of the northern boundary perimeter fence.

The works include the demolition of two residential properties, the extinguishment of an existing public road, local regrading and re-profiling of the existing ground levels, formation of two public footpaths linking up parts of the adjacent village (that would otherwise be cut off once the road is removed), installation of a new Airport Perimeter fence and removal of the existing fence once the new fence is complete.

The works are to be undertaken in compliance with all relevant Ports of Jersey Limited and CAA regulations for working on airfields.
